Since 1973, Circle Craft Co-operative has presented a Christmas Market, Originally in the Vancouver East Cultural Centre, “The Cultch”, then moved under the sails at Canada Place, and currently in the Vancouver Convention Centre West location. The success of this inaugural event has resulted in 39 Markets to date, Generations of Vancouverites and visitors have attended, enjoying a Market where they come face to face with fine BC and Canadian artisans and their work: wood-turners, glassblowers, sculptors and potters, clothing and jewellery designers, toy-makers, and many more, We welcome you to join us for our 40th anniversary show!

On November 9, 2013 we’re celebrating our tenth anniversary show in Vancouver!  Conceived by Jim Hoehnle and Chris Bentzen in 2004, Hot One Inch Action is the original, one-night only show of button art and social interaction from Vancouver, BC, with the tiny art of fifty different artists reproduced on one inch buttons. These limited edition buttons are displayed on the gallery wall and the audience is offered the opportunity to buy randomly selected buttons in mixed bags of five for $5. Didn’t get the button you want? Trade with the people around you… how bad do you want that button?! That’s when the hot action starts. A great way to meet new people and have a ton of fun at an art show! FREE TO ATTEND! NO TICKETS NECESSARY! NO REGISTRATION NECESSARY!

Monday, November 11th, 2013 - Remembrance Day

Remembrance Day Ceremonies 
8am - Lighting of the cauldron at Jack Poole Plaza
10am - Ceremony and parade at Victory Square

The program begins with a performance by the Vancouver Bach Youth Choir and Sarabande starting at 10:00am. Led by the Vancouver Flag Party, the parade of veterans, military marching units and bands will arrive at Victory Square before the ceremony begins at 10:30am.  At 11:00am the Last Post will be sounded. There will be Two Minutes of Silence, during which a 21-gun salute by the 15th Field Artillery Regiment will be heard from Portside Park. Rouse and Lament will follow. The RCAF will conduct a fly-past moments later, weather permitting. The enduring In Flanders Fields will then be sung by the Bach Youth Choir and Sarabande and wreaths will be placed at the Cenotaph.  The combined bands of the Vancouver Fire and Rescue Service and the Regimental Pipes and Drums of the Seaforth Highlanders of Canada will perform, after which the parade march-off begins. The parade proceeds west along Hastings Street, turning right at Richards Street, east on Cordova, then south on Cambie and marching past the reviewing stand at Victory Square.

Savour the City - Wildebeest

 "The Savour The City Program is a personal test drive experience from the Lincoln Motor Company built upon partnerships with innovative restaurants in multiple markets across Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver each a little different than the last. Restaurants echoed Lincoln's passion for reinvention and cutting-edge craftsmanship through a custom pre-fix menu and drive experience available only to their most prized patrons."   Each event will involve a test drive experience prior to a 3-course dinner & 2 beverages complimentary of Lincoln Motor Company.
