Brains, determination, and an iron stomach are just some of the elements you need to succeed in Silicon Valley. Nominated for five 2014 Emmy Awards including Best Comedy Series, HBO’s Silicon Valley is the latest TV comedy about Richard (Thomas Middleditch), an introverted computer programmer who lives in a “Hacker Hostel” start-up incubator along with his friends Big Head (Josh Brener), Gilfoyle (Martin Starr) and Dinesh (Kumail Nanjiani). At the hostel, Richard creates the most revolutionary data compression algorithm the IT world has ever seen and stirs up some mighty competition among venture capitalist and tech companies.

We had the opportunity to be invited to watch a special screening of Silicon Valley’s first episode of Season 2, and it was everything you can ask for in a season opener! It picks up where the season finished off at the Tech Crunch competition and we learn how Richard and the gang handle their fame (in the most eloquent way of course…) and the next steps of their venture. You’ll find yourself laughing and finding time passing by way too quickly. Get ready for Season 2, which begins on April 12, 2015!

Drinks based on each character. My favourite character in the show is Jared but the Gilfoyle sounded delicious.

This has been a guest post by Winnie Wan.

While Winnie was covering for me in Vancouver, I happened to be in LA when Silicon Valley was having the second season premier in Hollywood at the El Capitan Theatre! The red carpet was rolled out and the stars of the show could be seen arriving for the screening. See if you can spot your favourites!

Catch Silicon Valley Season 2 opener on April 12, 2015 after Game of Thrones on HBO Canada!

If you’re not all caught up with all the episodes for Season 1, you’re in luck. Silicon Valley: Season 1 Bluray, DVD, and Digital HD are now available. Pick up your copy online or at your local retailer.

Love the pics, we at Grimm's had a great time supporting a great cause. The team at Fresh St. did a wonderful job at organizing the event.
