Hudson's Bay Vancouver Downtown 100th Anniversary - $5

HBC Downtown store at Granville & Georgia
The Hudson's Bay Company will celebrate the 100th anniversary of their historic downtown Vancouver store with an all-day party.  There will be storewide clearance sales, DJ’s on every floor, a cake cutting at 1 pm, free gifts with purchase, prize draws, fashion shows, wardrobe seminars, makeovers, and a mini museum of vintage HBC artifacts. There’s even a scotch tasting bar (6th floor) from 2-7 pm.  Entrance is with ticket purchase only. HBC is donating 100% of ticket proceeds to support Arts Umbrella's outreach programs which provide dance, theatre, visual and digital art education to at-risk youth free of charge.  Tickets are only $5 each!  So please consider purchasing a group of tickets to share with your friends and family.

Bakers Dozen

Baker’s Dozen is an indoors baked goods market hosted by River District Centre.  For all five Sundays in March, 13 local bakers will have the opportunity to sell their delicious creations down by the river!  Best of all, admission is FREE!

On the weekend of March 15-16, the Celtic Village and Street Market fills both Granville Street between Robson & Nelson and the expanded area of Robson Square with music, dance, fun and frolic, food -- and shopping, too! This FREE weekend-long street fair features music from some of the hottest Celtic music groups around on the Mahony & Sons Music Stage, performances from a range of dynamic local dance troupes on the CelticFest Community Stage (at Robson Square), as well as a range of fabulous street performances at various Celtic Village locations,  Village visitors can also shop at the Street Market on Granville Street for a dizzying array of Celtic treasures and the works of gifted artisans, and sample from a wide selection of food and fare. Friends and families can gather and wander, soaking in that special Celtic feeling all weekend long.

10th Anniversary St. Patrick’s Day Parade

beginning on Howe and Davie, proceeding north along Howe to Georgia, and ending at Georgia & Granville Streets. 
The 10th Anniversary St. Patrick’s Day Parade is the festival’s largest and most popular free event, drawing people from all cultures, backgrounds, ages and all walks of life. This colourful (very green) display of fabulous sight and sound takes to the streets on Sunday, March 16th at 11:00 AM.  The St. Patrick’s Day Parade will follow the same route as in 2013, beginning on Howe and Davie, proceeding north along Howe to Georgia, and ending at Georgia & Granville Streets.  Festival organizers estimate crowds exceeding 200,000 will line the route to cheer on 2000+ parade participants, which they anticipate will include award-winning pipe and drum bands, Celtic musicians, Scottish and Irish dancers, acrobats, stilt walkers, vintage cars, the Vancouver police motorcycle drill team and pipe band, fire and police dogs,  mounted horse drill teams, multi-cultural organizations and performers, local businesses, distinguished guests and many more.  

Spring Car Meet 2014
