Join Kids Sing Chorus, Caminando Carolers, and Santa Claus for a night of FREE hot chocolate, singing, and good cheer around a tree decorated by school children at Mount Pleasant Elementary School, Florence Nightingale Elementary, and Simon Fraser Elementary School.

26th annual CBC British Columbia Food Bank Day. We are celebrating the incredible and continuing generosity of the CBC audience. Again this year we are inviting the public to come to our Open House at the CBC Broadcast Centre in downtown Vancouver to see how we make radio, television and digital programming.  Doors are open at 5:30 a.m. with Rick Cluff and The Early Edition live in Studio 700. From 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. you can tour CBC Vancouver's integrated newsroom and meet your favorite CBC on air personalities and reporters.

Dancing Lights on Livingstone Lake: starting at 4:30 p.m. Two different shows - one show on the half hour and a different one at the top of the hour. Two different shows repeating in sequence throughout the evening. Gingerbread Wood, Golden Chain Walk, Community Choirs on the Entrance Plaza, Make-a-Wish Candle Shrine, Candy Cane Lane, Sparkling Spruce in the Centre Court, Candy Cane Express model train     Make-A-Wish 'Room of Joy' with Winter Wonderland by Vancouver Lego Club

Vancouver Festival of Trees

For the past 25 years, Festival of Trees has transformed the lobby of the Four Seasons Hotel and the corridors of Pacific Centre Mall into a vision of beautifully decorated trees with the goal of raising much-needed funds for BC Children's Hospital Foundation.  The Festival continues to bring together a vast array of generous sponsors both business and individual from Vancouver in what has become a much anticipated holiday tradition and the unofficial beginning of Christmas in the Vancouver. Every year, local businesses, organizations and individuals, sponsor and decorate their trees in a wacky, creative, unique, and always beautiful fashion. See photos of this year's event here.

The Village is illuminated this festive season with spectacular displays of lights that are sure to put you and your family into the holiday spirit! Lights in our parking lot are a teaser of what's to see inside. Delight in the shimmering Winter Wonderland near the Love Farmhouse, an Angel-Crossing at the bridge, a Holiday Lane and be wowed by the gigantic multi-coloured Christmas tree sparkling near the carousel.

During the holiday season, Stanley Park sparkles with two million twinkling lights, decorating the darkness that comes early at this time of year. Make the Bright Nights Train part of your holiday tradition Ride the train, watch animated displays, listen to holiday classics, sip warm cocoa, and feast on fresh popcorn or roasted nuts. Enjoy the sight of young eyes dazzled by the display of lights and the excitement of the holidays. Partial proceeds from the sale of Bright Nights tickets go to the BC Professional Fire Fighters' Burn Fund. Adult $10, Matinee $5.50. Entrance to the plaza is by donation (you don't need to purchase train tickets to see the lights). Donations will be accepted at the front gate. We suggest a $4 minimum donation. Thank you!
