Say Hi to a Stranger

Say ‘Hi!’ to as many strangers as possible and to be friendly and open. You are encouraged to say Hi! to strangers and either film or photograph the experience, or just tweet about it with the hashtag #sayhitoastranger. Also, there were different checkpoint locations in Vancouver. Walk into these locations and #sayhitoastranger to receive a treat!

From February 12 - 15 the Asian-Canadian Special Events Association will be displaying over 200 model sheep in the West Galleria on behalf of LunarFest, an annual Lunar New Year festival at Downtown Vancouver that celebrates the culture through visual, performing, culinary and interactive arts.

Twilight Crow Roost Bike Ride

You may have seen it for yourself, but each night during the winter season, an impressive migration of thousands of crows takes place in the sky. If you’ve ever wondered where they go, here’s a chance to find out for yourself! Journey along with the crows as they head into Burnaby, where they roost on the banks of Still Creek. On Sunday February 15th, grab your bike and meet at Renfrew Skytrain Station at 5:15 PM for the annual Crow Roost Twilight Bike Ride! We will leave at 5:30 PM, right around sunset, and ride along the Central Valley Greenway.
