VPL Summer Book Sale

Founded in 2011 during the official ‘Year of India in Canada’ and Vancouver’s 125th anniversary, the festival showcases top talent from South Asia – across music, dance, literature, film, visual arts, cuisine, yoga and wellness – in conversation with Vancouver and Canadian counterparts.

Indian Summer Arts Society and Teamwork Productions are the proud producers of the 2nd annual Indian Summer Festival, an international festival of arts and ideas, July 5-15, 2012 in Vancouver, Canada. Founded in 2011 during the official ‘Year of India in Canada’ and Vancouver’s 125th anniversary, the festival showcases top talent from South Asia – across music, dance, literature, film, visual arts, cuisine, yoga and wellness – in conversation with Vancouver and Canadian counterparts.

Hastings North BIA and Hastings Sunrise CPC team up every year to organize a community event in July.  Held in the Sunrise Square Parking Lot (2500 Franklin St), this community event includes, street hockey, cultural shows, live performances, delicious food, a safety fair, carnival, games, face painting, a food bank and much more. Everyone is welcome to this event.

Come celebrate the launch of TIEV's 2nd book and 1st gallery show. Books available as soon as doors open. All images in the show available for purchase. $160 each with $150 of the proceeds going to the photographer and $10 to our host The Interurban Gallery (which is a non-profit / volunteer run community art space). First come first served, cash only. Jeremy Schmidt of Black Mountain will be DJ-ing all night long & wine and beer will be available for purchase.
