Steveston Fisherman's Wharf

On Canada Day, after seeing the tall ships, W, M and I continued on to Steveston Fisherman's Wharf area. It's been ages since I've been around this area! It was very busy, of course due to the Salmon Festival.

First thing I noticed are the big signs for live sea urchins. Many people were buying them!

The sea urchins are huge!!! I've never really appreciated sea urchin. I've kind of tasted it at a sushi place when I was younger but I didn't like the taste. Hmm. Maybe I should try it again, my taste buds might have changed XD.

Here's some instructions on one of the boats on how to eat a sea urchin!

Lots of live crab were for sale as well.

There were shrimps and spot prawns but they were frozen at sea.

Octopus!

W and M were feeling a bit peckish so they went off to Pajos for fish and chips while I stood in line at Timothy's Frozen Yogurt!

Chose the fruit you want and they will make it for you!

Blueberry frozen yogurt in big waffle cone! This is just perfect on a hot day like this. Very ice and light and cools you right off. Delicious!

At the end of the walk is Pajos. It is super popular and seemed like everyone was lining up for it that day. The line was an hour long!

I wasn't standing in line with my friends so I went exploring the surrounding areas.

We went to the Gulf of Georgia Cannery afterwards.

Mmm fish and chips! Worth the long wait! M said that their clam chowder is very good as well.
