The 40th annual Chinese New Year parade was held in Chinatown on Sunday. I attended this year but didn't go early enough to stake out a spot at the edge of the road. The parade at already started an hour ago but it was still going on and would continue for another 1.5 hours. This is the year of the Snake so there were a lot of snake themed costumes and props. I was more interested in the lion dancers (as always)!

 This is my favourite lion. It's purple! So pretty. It's part of the Vancouver Police lion dance team.







 Sad that I couldn't get a clear photo of this little guy. It's SO CUTE.
