Gingeri Chinese Cuisine

A couple weeks back, I attended the wedding of my old childhood friend, K. The ceremony was at Holy Cross Parish in Burnaby and it was beautiful. The reception dinner was held at Gingeri Chinese Cuisine. One whole half of the restaurant was reserved for the reception, while other regular patrons were put in the back room.

Gingeri's Combination Platter with Roasted Pig Slices
I really enjoyed the platter especially the crunchy pork skin and the shrimp tempura. Even though there were many more dishes to come, we couldn't help but get seconds...and thirds... There were some people who didn't show up at our table and also a kid so we had a lot of left over! And by the time the later dishes came out, we all only picked at them.

Deep Fried Crab Claws with Shrimp Paste
Yum! I've tasted better ones, but it wasn't too bad.

Sauteed Scallops & Shrimps with Vegetables

Braised Shark's Fin with Crab Meat & Conpoy in Thick Soup

Sauteed Lobsters in Consomme Sauce
I already slowed down by the time the lobster came.  Too. much. delicious. food.

Braised Sea Cucumbers & Chinese Mushrooms on Vegetables

Deep Fried Crispy Chicken

Steamed Rock Cod

Braised Fried Rice with Shrimps & Diced Chicken

Braised E-Fu Noodles with Mushrooms

Chinese Petit Two

The couple's first dance. M and I joined them afterwards and danced the night away! We had so much fun!

Congratulations K and J!
