Celts on the Creek

Last Saturday, a music festival at The Village on False Creek celebrated the start of CelticFest 2013, which is on now until the 17th.

When I arrived in the Village, the group Blackthorn was on stage. A large group gathered around and people even joined in dancing!

Here are some clips of their songs. They are very catchy!

The Green Man was also wandering around in between performances. A legendary pagan deity who roams the woodlands of the British Isles and Europe. It is believed he has rain making powers to foster livestock with lush meadows.

There are several more CelticFest events on this week ending on Sunday with a parade and street market. Visit the CelticFest website for more information!
