Looks like summer as finally left us but there are still lots of things to do this weekend including TWO apple festivals! One at UBC and one at the Richmond Sharing Farm. This is also the weekend of the Vancouver Home + Design Show, there's always a lot to see, do and taste there. Admission to Science World is also FREE this weekend and you will get to see parts of the new outdoor Ken Spencer Science Park so it would be a nice family outing!

"Connecting with the Land" with Pamela Zevit. A walk along Wreck Beach – one of the last close-to-wild beaches in Vancouver – including discussions about how we connect to the land in our fast-paced techno-industrial urban society and meditations to help forge stronger links. The route goes west along the beach from Acadia Creek. Wreck Beach is one of the last close-to-wild beaches in Vancouver and has many remaining natural ecosystems to observe.

World Food Day Celebration at Richmond Cultural Centre

Members of the public are invited to visit the various booths including the seed library and children’s activities on the main floor of the library, view films on the second floor, try out food samples and meet local food producers at the pocket market in the plaza and attend hands on exhibits like butter churning in the Richmond Museum.
