KitsFest

KitsFest is Vancouver’s best summer festival! This 3-day event celebrates sports and healthy living through a variety of competitive sports tournaments including; basketball, tennis and volleyball. Just as we introduced a new sport “Beach Tennis” sanctioned by the US Tennis Association (USTA) presented by Tennis BC, this year, we want you to join us Saturday August 11th at 6:30pm for the “SweatFest” with Lululemon – Largest Sunset Yoga on the Beach!

The 9th Annual Richmond Maritime Festival — August 10-12, 2012 — celebrates all things waterfront at the Britannia Heritage Shipyard. From wooden boats to model boats, water safety to sea creatures, local lore to fishing history, the festival invites visitors to explore a spectacular heritage site and enjoy music, games, interactive exhibits, roving performers, food and much more.

Richmond Maritime Festival

The 9th Annual Richmond Maritime Festival — August 10-12, 2012 — celebrates all things waterfront at the Britannia Heritage Shipyard. From wooden boats to model boats, water safety to sea creatures, local lore to fishing history, the festival invites visitors to explore a spectacular heritage site and enjoy music, games, interactive exhibits, roving performers, food and much more.

TD Vancouver Chinatown Festival
12:00pm - 6:00pm
Vancouver Chinatown at Columbia & Keefer Street
About 60,000 festival goers converged on the streets of Columbia and Keefer in historic Chinatown to experience the biggest multicultural summer celebration in town. Festival activities included day market, "Historical & Food Tasting Walking tour", Kids corner, multicultural stage performances, Cultural Corner, TD Youth Talent Showdown, theme related activities and Streetfest.  With this year's slogan "Hello Dragon, Ni Hao", we will have more elements and innovative new programs into the festival!

Record Setting Public Sunset Yoga

Kits Beach
Public Sunset Yoga may set a record for the largest pop-up yoga event in Vancouver. The event is expected to attract 1,000+ participants and everyone is invited to join in and make friends as the sun goes down. Public Sunset Yoga will be led by Mara Branscome, who is a regular instructor at Semperviva and YYOGA Kits Studio. The event is open to first time or hard-core yogis and is a 60-minute yoga session. Mats will be provided. Space is limited so come early to get your Namaste on.

Witness the biggest gathering of Filipinos showcasing the world famous Philippine festivals and the beautiful Pinoy culture such as the Ati-atihan Festival of Aklan, Sinulog of Cebu, Dinagyang of Iloilo, Masskara of Bacolod, Penagbenga and Igorot culture of Baguio, Moriones of Marinduque etc. The Cultural street parade will start from Fraser Street and 26th Avenue heading south to 41st Avenue and Windsor Street at 11:00am.

The Waldorf, Yelp and Street Food Vancouver present six Sundays of food, live music, shopping, and fun.  Starting Sunday July 29, and happening every Sunday till September 2, join them for a series of free and family-friendly events. The Waldorf will be hosting food cart festivals on six consecutive Sundays in the parking lot.
