Had a nice dinner with friends to end off the long weekend at Edible Canada Bistro on Granville Island. I've heard a lot of good things about this place and have always been meaning to try it and also their new bacon takeout window.

We sat outside since it was so nice out!

Looking at the menu, it was hard to choose just one dish to try. It was the tail end of the Festival of Raspberries so I decided to get something on that menu. I also wanted to get the White Chocolate Raspberry Brownie but they RAN OUT by the time we finished our mains. Boo hoo!

Pumpkin Seed Crust Arctic Char
I ordered the Pumpkin Seed Crust Arctic Char with grilled Okanagan summer squash, raspberry-blackberry salsa. The fish also rested on a mound of quinoa. I really enjoyed eating it. It was fresh and light. The quinoa was a little bland but it was ok with the flavoured fish.

Dungeness Crab Risotto
M decided to order two small plates instead just one main. These "small" plates were not really small at all. She ordered a Dungeness Crab Risotto and Market Inspired Seafood Soup. I tried a little of the risotto and it was delicious! It wasn't too rich and it had a lot of crab in it as well.

Market Inspired Seafood Soup
Sloping Hills Pork Duo
W had the Pork Do and A ordered the Steak. Both looked amazing.

Alberta Angus Flank Steak Frites
Overall it was a great dinner minus the dessert. =( I'll definitely will go back for another visit. Right now Edible Canada Bistro has the Festival of Peaches menu, which is on until August 19th.
