Wow. I really need to re-evaluate how I list events. There's just so much to do this weekend! Big ones include the Mexi-Go travel trade expo, Kerrisdale Days and West End Fest (formerly Davie Day). If you are hungry for food then check out the Waldorf Food Cart Fest! It has been extended to the end of Sept so if you haven't gone yet, here's your chance! There's also an Etsy Craft Party going down tomorrow night at 6:00pm. It costs $20 to join ($15 with ETSY2012 promo code) and there will be no tickets sold at the door. So if you are interested, purchase your tickets asap!

Places that Matter Celebration - The Gathering Place

Operated by the City of Vancouver since 1995 in partnership with BC Housing and the Vancouver School Board, the Gathering Place is a safe, social place for everyone in the community including seniors, people with disabilities, people on low income, youth and people who are homeless. The Gathering Place Block Party will be held on Sunday September 9, 2012 from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm, featuring a used book sale, pottery sale, food, games, and live music. Starting at 12:00 pm, there will be BBQ hamburgers on sale for $2.00
